Michael Volley: Basketball to me is a life changer. I started playing as a kid and never looked back since. I was blessed with these skills so I can display them to the world. I was born to play basketball.
Joe Gaiter: Tell me about your childhood?
Michael Volley: Growing up I didn’t have much, I mainly just played basketball at the parks or over my granny house. It’s nothing in my hometown of Americus, Ga. So all I could do was pick up a basketball and make a way out.
Joe Gaiter: When did you first start playing basketball?
Michael Volley: At 8 years old for the Rec department.
Joe Gaiter: What have been your fondest memories playing at Brewton Parker College?
Michael Volley: I would say playing against Division 1 schools and getting to showcase my talents to let the world know I belong here.
Joe Gaiter: What have you been doing during the off season?
Michael Volley: Working out mostly but trying to stay healthy and gain muscles for the upcoming season. I want to be prepared for whatever is thrown at me.
Joe Gaiter: What is your untold story?
Michael Volley: It’s still going.
Joe Gaiter: What’s next for you and your career?
Michael Volley: I plan to play in the G league for the next couple of years and earn a NBA contract.
Joe Gaiter: What do you feel are your biggest strengths and weaknesses on the court?
Michael Volley: My biggest strengths are shooting the basketball and my playmaking abilities. I don’t think I have any weakness.
Joe Gaiter: What do you want your legacy to be?
Michael Volley: I want to be able to play in the league and have some sort of impact so I will be remembered
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation?
Michael Volley: My mom, just seeing how she puts her all into making sure me and my lil are good. I can only feed off that and be the best I can be to provide for them later in life.
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent and why did you choose them?
Michael Volley: Kenneth Haywood at HLSEinc, I chose them because I believe they are best suited to help me reach my goal. They push me to be the best no matter what. I like how their agency is operated.
